چکیده
Micropropagation for extensive production of elite planting materials is an effective and superior alternative to suckers conventional means propagation Musa spp. The present investigation was carried out evaluate the genetic identity different micropropagated banana genotypes Grand Naine, Shrimantee Basrai. Further Naine comparing with mother plant during stages subculture using Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) Inter (ISSR). Moreover, micropropagation explants (suckers) were inoculated on initiation medium containing MS (Murashige Skoog) supplemented 5 mg/l BAP (Benzyl amino purine) 39 AdSO4 (Adenine sulphate). second, third fourth subcultures separate all multiple shoots. Furthermore, rooting media fortified growth hormones viz., 2 BAP, 1mg/l IBA (Indole-3-butyric Acid) 200mg/l activated charcoal used under investigation. Findings revealed that 90 % 75 plantlets successfully established primary hardening in controlled natural field condition. Further, 26 primers screened from 20 (ISSR SSR) showed 146 clear, reproducible scorable bands ranging 100-2000 base pairs produced. banding pattern these randomly selected plants monomorphic genotype confirmed clonal uniformity.

Carbohydrate binding properties of banana (Musa acuminata) lectin
Examination of lectins of banana (Musa acuminata) and the closely related plantain (Musa spp.) by the techniques of quantitative precipitation, hapten inhibition of precipitation, and isothermal titration calorimetry showed that they are mannose/glucose binding proteins with a preference for the a-anomeric form of these sugars. Both generate precipitin curves with branched chain a-mannans (yeas...
متن کاملAnalysis of Induced Mutants of Salinity Resistant Banana (Musa acuminata cv. Dwarf Cavendish) Using Morphological and Molecular Markers
Genetic diversity amongst 21 induced mutant clones tolerant to salinity along with one non-irradiated sensitive clone of banana (Musa acuminata cv. Dwarf Cavendish (AAA)) were studied using morphological and random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. Out of the 30 phenotypic indices screened, 23 were polymorph and two traits, leaf habit and blotches color, were differentiated by non-irrad...
متن کاملMolecular assessment of genetic identity and genetic stability in banana cultivars (Musa spp.) from China using ISSR markers
A study was carried out to identify of different cultivars and monitor somaclonal variations of banana during rapid mass micropropgation using Inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR) marker. DNA templates from 30 Banana cultivars were evaluated using 45 primers. Genetic diversity is analyzed by one statistical procedure: hierarchical classification. Total number of bands varied between the various...
متن کاملExtraction and characterization of pectin from Saba banana [Musa ‘saba’(Musa acuminata x Musa balbisiana)] peel wastes: A preliminary study
Saba banana, Musa ‘saba’(Musa acuminata x Musa balbisiana) peel is an underutilized waste from processed banana manufacturing in the Philippines. The feasibility of saba banana peel pectin for use in food processing was assessed. Pectin from saba banana peel was extracted under two different extraction conditions. Pectin extraction was carried out using hydrochloric acid (0.5N, pH 1.5) and citr...
